About Munnar
The mesmerising city of Munnar is located in the the state of Kerala, popularly known as the “Gods own country”. The hill station is situated at an altitude of 1520 meters, in the eastern part of the state. The major attractions offered by the city are the Christ Church of Munnar, Evarikulam National Park and the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. Besides these, the hill station is surrounded by some of the most gorgeous places which pull lakhs of tourists every year. These are Marayoor which lies at a distance of 42 km, Devikulam which is only 7 kms away from Munnar. Mattupetty lake is situated at a distance of 14 kms, which is a lake of its kind and is the right place for those who want to experience serenity and calmness. Other places of interest here are Rajamalai stationed at a distance of 15 kms, Idukki 55 kms away, Nemmara 52 kms away and Kozhikode just at a distance of 60 kms.

The nearest airport is the cochin airport which lies at a distance of 115 km and the nearest railhead is Theni at a ditance of 75 km which make Munnar accessible from various parts of the country.
