About Suraj Kund
Surajkund a beautiful and splendid village is set between the villages of Baharpur and Lakkarpur. This ancient village was named after the famous water tank build by Raja Suraj Pal in the 11th century. The people from in and around Delhi spend great weekends in Surajkund as it is only a few kilometers away. As you move from the hustle & bustle of the city towards Surajkund, the striking calmness and serenity of the place engulfs you.

Above all is the mela of Surajkund that is celebrated between the 1st and 15th of Feb. During this fortnight full of enthusiasm and zeal potters, embroiderers, weavers, wood carvers, metal workers, stonesmiths, painters and other craftsmen gather here from every part of the country to exhibit their excellence.
